Since 2008 when the BEST Grant (Building Excellent Schools Today) became available, schools in Colorado have been able to take advantage of the support it provides. This program, created by the Colorado Department of Education, is able to provide annual funding with competitive grants to school districts, charter schools, institute charter schools, boards of cooperative educational services, and the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind.
